Back in the USA, I returned to my life in Las Vegas, Nevada. I was surprised to learn about the increase in mosquitos to the area. They never really bothered me overseas. Sure, I'd been bitten. But it was never more than a slight nuisance. With one exception. When I caught Zika, I was out of commission for a week! Miserable. It was one of the few things I missed about home. Las Vegas had no mosquitos, at least not until I got back stateside.
